Built to be usable
by everyone.

Mithryl Labs designs and builds digital products for the full range of people who use them. Accessibility is part of the standard, not an add-on. This page describes the standard we target, the measures in place on this site, and how to tell us when something is wrong.

Our standard

This site targets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. WCAG is the standard cited by regulators and courts in the United States, European Union, and elsewhere, and it is the baseline for every site Mithryl Labs builds.

What we've done

The following measures are in place across the site:

  • Semantic HTML so headings, landmarks, and lists are exposed correctly to assistive technology.
  • Visible focus indicators on every interactive element, with sufficient contrast.
  • Full keyboard operability, including a “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
  • Color and typography tuned for a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio for body text.
  • Descriptive alt text on meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Respect for the operating system prefers-reduced-motion setting; animations are reduced or removed for users who request it.
  • Responsive layout that adapts down to small phone widths and up to large desktop displays.
  • ARIA attributes used only where native semantics fall short, to avoid redundancy or conflict.

Compatibility

The site is tested in current versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, on macOS, iOS, Windows, and Android. It is built to work with VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, and TalkBack, and with browser zoom up to 200 percent without loss of content or function.

Known limitations

No site is finished. We audit periodically with automated tools (axe, Lighthouse) and manual keyboard and screen reader testing. If a specific limitation is discovered, it will be documented here along with our plan to address it. At present, no known critical barriers are outstanding.

Report a barrier

If you encounter content or functionality on this site that is not accessible to you, please tell us. Include the page URL, the device and assistive technology you were using, and a brief description of the problem.

For client work

Mithryl Labs builds every client site to the same WCAG 2.1 AA target, scoped to the deliverables in the relevant Statement of Work. Ongoing accessibility compliance after launch depends on ongoing maintenance and content choices; Mithryl Labs offers retainer support for clients who want accessibility built into their long-term operations.
